Peripheral. Switching to satellite radio: "press and hold seek button < until a "beep" is heard to return to satellite radio, or using the TUNE ****, turn the **** in either direction until the display reads "Select XM Radio". Press the seek > button to go to XM."
This does not seem to work with mine.

Another question regarding this device...
Will it allow me to play movies from my ipod on the truck's DVD system? If not, is there a device that will allow me to do that?

Anyone know about the video capabilities of these devices?
I am curious because when I plug my ipod in the aux jack, a button on the touchscreen will allow me toggle between audio jack, which will play the sound of the movie from the ipod. But if I press the touchscreen button to toggle to video jack, the screen remains blank and the audio is lost. Does the AUX input jack have some sort of video capability?

Yes, they're called audio/video cables. Plug them right into your aux-in on the rear console.

But that will only allow me to play video on the rear screen correct?
Are there any auxillary AV inputs on the back of the nav unit?
I would like to leave the ipod in the glovebox and control both audio and video output using the nav screen or the steering wheel controls. Does such an animal exist?

And yes, it will play on the front screen too. Just hit the AUX button on the nav unit.

If there is a device specifically for that, I don't know about it. But I have a TV tuner that feeds my aux input. There are also 3 A/V inputs on the TV tuner. If I wanted to I could tie an iPod into that and still control the iPod manually. As far as doing anything through the head-unit, you're asking for the world on that one. In an industry that's constantly changing vendors, and the way they build vehicles, along with cutting features, I don't know if it would really behoove any company to make a device like this. There's just no guarantee that there would be a demand for it. (That's just my opinion of course.) You have to keep in mind that individuals out there are engineering (in some cases reverse engineering) around an already set platform. If that platform continues to change, then they have to engineer something new each time. Hope that makes sense.
Again, not saying it won't happen though. With the demand of people wanting iPod integration in their cars, the next progressive step will more than likely be video.
