Default Jammed rear bench/seat

Friends:
Has anyone solved this problem with a jammed rear seat/bench?
2001 Chev. Sub, w/ 3rd row bench/seat, the removal of the bench requires a 3 step sequence: (1) seat back fold down, (2) rear latch release and (3) front latch release.
The Better 1/2, while attempting to re-install the bench, latched the 2 rear latches, without latching the front 2 latches (exactly the opposite of the required procedure of front latches 1st, then the rear latches). Now the bench is jammed, such that the seatback (step 1) will not fold down, and the rear latches (step 2) will not release. We are stuck in a jammed position with the lever for step 1 not doing anything, and the rear latch release not doing anything. Only 2 (the rear) of the 4 latches are engaged.
I have tried jiggling and forcing these levers, but nothing gives. Do I have to disassemble the entire seat? Any ideas or guesses?

Default RE: Jammed rear bench/seat

Happend to me last year. My own fault[:'(]! If I remember correctly I used a piece of rebar or something of the like to simulate it being latched / fooled the safety thing. It took about 20 minutes of fooling around. I did not have to take anything apart. Good Luck
