Default Just bought 1st 'burban - electrical Q 1995

So I just bought my first Sububan for the fam: 1995 K2500. First night...
1. Are the interior lights supposed to come on when the doors open up?
2. Is the back barn door only locked/unlocked with the key?

I haven't even had a chance to do a thorough look through in the daylight, just took it out twice before buying it about three hours ago and I won't be able to see until this weekend. Needs a few things, and shocker: no extra key or keyless entry working off of a cheap lot.

Got a pretty fair deal for around here, had to expect to fix a few things. Runs damn good, just had an Aamco rehaul on the tranny, shows up on CARFAX...

Any help much appreciated...

Well im 99.9% sure that the interior lights should come on when the door opens. I have a tahoe of the same body style with barn doors in the back. they have an electric lock that also operates with the keyless fob. i knew two people that had a 96-97 'burbans that had issues with the electric locks so i think its a rather common problem.

they may be a dome switch that controls when the interior lights come on. have a look in the owners manual or on the instrument panel. newer models have this.
