Just purchased 1993 Suburban K2500 7.4L
Just bought today, fairly nice shape, 167k miles, older guy owned it for the last 15 years. No rust, no body damage, and it seems like everything is in shape. Pulls a little to the right on the drive back, will need tires. The tires on it have good tread, but are starting to crack. I believe there may be a small exhaust leak at the manifold. You can hear the suttle little chicka.chicka.chicka when you romp the accelerator.
Overall not too bad, power everything, working front and rear A/C, towing package and the big block.
Paid $1600.....was asking $2000, what more could you need for a cash truck?
This is my first primary gas truck in about 10 years, usually always owned a diesel. Just sold my Duramax.......I was just puking money into that thing trying to make it a rocket ship so I had to sell it to get away from it.
So I want to beef this thing up
I believe it will be a WHOLE heck of a lot cheaper to beef up this old gasser than it was on my Dmax.
I have a budget of probably $2000, maybe $2500 I want to put a nice little lift on it, nothing crazy maybe 3" and I want to get some power out of it. Its definitely no Vortec, but any big block can be hopped up.
THanks,
AJ
