I recently installed a K & N air filter and my milage decreased by 2 MPG hwy so I reinstalled the OEM filter and the MPG increased. Anyone have the same experience?

 

Well I have installed an Airraid system. The mileage is about avg. 14 mpg. I do have the 4.10 gears and I hit the gas pedal often. I don't know how you hit the gas pedal. That may have something to do with it. The other is you are allowing more air into the engine therefore increasing HP so it might us more gas.. What is your avg MPG?

 

I'm on the road alot (interstate) and prior to the K&N I was averabing 18.5 mpg @ 78 mph, with the K&N I avg. about 16.5 at the same speed. When I get time I'll contact the tech center and run it by them.
