Default Kenwood CCD-900

I posted this in the sticky about about the camera setup but appears nobody is looking at that thread anymore so will try here.
For those of you that have installed the Kenwood CCD-900 backup camera--

1) Does the nav radio need to be dealer flashed after installing the Kenwood CCD-900?

2) Can the Kenwood camera "see" a trailer ball so you can back up and stop directly under the trailer tongue?

Thanks

Check out below thread. You do need a reflash for new camera install to work.

It all depends on whether the rear camera option was selected at the time of your last flash. When you put your vehicle in reverse if you get a black screen with a warning at the top to "look around for other objects" then you DO NOT need to have it flashed. The NAV video input is active. If no black screen then yes you will have to have it flashed to enable the rear camera video input.

In my case, my NAV was new in the box when I installed it (default is everything turned on) and it has never been flashed. Camera, RSE, everything was enabled.
