Key Fobs RKE Relearn Programming Part 2
Part 1 is Please explain driver 1 and 2 settings RKE fobs by me.
Ok, the rest of the story that has been asked numerous times but I only see the answer for '07+ models is could I please get the instructions to reprogram key fobs. This is when it would be nice to have the Tahoe & Suburban section broken down by GMT series.
Can someone please post (again I'm sure) the RKE relearn procedure?
I don't have an option in the DIC and I have found instructions elsewhere but it has anomalies like "press and hold the door LOCK button," then later, "release the door UNLOCK button." So which is it, press and hold lock or unlock? And other poor instructions so if someone has the full detail for a '06 Suburban LTZ with driver 1 and 2, that would be much appriciated.
Thanks!

Here is what I've used:
I bought a spare a while back off Ebay. Here are the instructions from it:
1. Close all vehicle doors.
2. Insert ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder.
3. Press and hold the door unlock switch on the door panel.
4. While holding the door lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF. (within 5 seconds).
5. Release the door unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode.
6. Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. After a delay of approx. 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter.
7. Repeat the previous step to program up to four transmitters.
8. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter mode.
9. Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.
