I was thinking of buying the GMC one and addinga painted bowtie on top...or maybe leaving it blank.

 

The GMC Chome one will not fit.. The GMC is a difference size.

I wanted to since I wanted to remove the bowtie alltogether.. Look at the back of a GMC and you will see the piece of plastic is more of a rectangle.... The piece on the tahoe is rounded and not square. I might actually buy the GMC panel since it looks better if I can ever find a part number.

 

So all the ones currently listed on eBay actually use regular light bulbs and not LEDs?

Some of these kits are quite pricey. I found a few and trying to figure out if they are the real thing or not.

the first link are the LED's the second link use the factory bulbs.

 

I am hoping that some of you who have these aftermarket LED tails can post some feedback of the tails. How are they holding up in the rain or when washing them? Do they emit enough light? Do they ever not come on? Any negative feedback i'm curious in. I want to get them but want to make sure they work as good as the factory tails.
