Life expectancy of a Suburban
#21
Wow!
You sound like you are hard on vehicles. Original owner of a 2001 suburban, over 220,000 miles on it, regularly change the oil, no major problems and it just keeps going. Now the leather driver seat is looking a little old, but if that's the only thing that's wrong with that I think that's a pretty damn good vehicle. Saw another post that someone has over 315,000 miles on one. Maybe you just get lemons.

Life expectancy...
My '96 K2500 GMC Suburban is showing 451,000 and change. I'm not responsible for all those miles but I've known it since it was new. I bought it at about 441,000 and other than a starting issue I've posted about on here it's run like a top. It's on its second engine. Tranny shudders when shifting into overdrive but still works good other than that.
Some things don't work any more like the switch on the overhead that works the rear A/C. The **** was broken off at some point when loading the back and GM does not make that switch any more.
No rust and only one "ding" when a utility trailer I was towing jackknifed and put a dent in the rear quarter panel under the gas cap door.
