Does a lift-gate module need any programming? I took my vehicle to the dealer and got the exact part numbers after them diagnosing it. Seemed, like an easy fix to order parts and slap them in. The liftgate does not respond with the new part but does with the old one. Also the new part number is different from the old one. Looked for that online but it doesn’t exist anymore. Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

 

new modules come blank and need programming to match the build. the part has been updated by gm. programming will cost approx $140. if you can find on in the junk yard from a vehicle with the same options it should work plug and play
