Default Looking to buy a Tahoe....

Hi guys, I'm new here andam lookingto buya Tahoe. I currently have an Infiniti QX4 that gives me about 12-14 city/15-18 hwy. It's nice, but for that mileage I have decided I can get a Tahoe with more power and more room. I frequently haul my dogs around so that's important. I can't fit 2 crates side by side in the rear of theInfiniti (52" total), but it looks like there's enough room in the Tahoe? [sm=smiley20.gif]

Anyways, I need to know what to look for in a Tahoe, what to avoid. What are common problems on these trucks? What are the better years? What's a good price? I'm looking at an '01-'04, 4x4, LS or LT. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

I'd get a 08+ new body style, not that much more $, more HP, better MPG... also look at the Escalade

the KBB of a 08 escalade with 10,000 miles on it is like $35k

the Escalade has more power, bigger GPS, and a longer warrenty (but more $ to insure)

thanks to fuel prices the prices of these have come WAY down...

I'm planning on either a 09 tahoe or 09 Escalade in summer of 2010...

Remember, the 3rd row seat do NOT lay flat with the floor. You will have to take them out to put anything big in the cargo area....just an FYI.

Good luck!

Id get the 3rd row seating even if you don't think you'll need it. Its a nice thing to have and will help resale and if you dont need them just pull them out and put them in storage.

we are a family of 5, we have the 2nd row bench but put one of the kids in the 3rd row so everyone has there own space. With just one of the 3rd row seats in it leaves room for luggage and an ice chest.
