Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

I bought my '08 2500 back in the summer of 2013. Had 100K, trim level 3LT, and I paid $23K out the door for it.

No reason why an '08 1500 Burb should be the same price, or even higher, almost two years later.

The 5.3 was pretty much unchanged from 2007 to 2014. Some folks say it looks like GM made some fixes starting with 2010, because there are fewer AFM issues with the newer years. My response to that is the 2010+ fleet just hasn't racked up enough average miles to expose the problem, compared to the 07-09 fleet. That's just my opinion, but I'll be buying another GMT900 truck in June, and it won't be a 5.3.

Thanks for the information. I spoke with the sales guy and he told me the reason why it is 25k out the door is because of the color. He said white diamond is the most sought out color for these vehicles. Not sure of the validity of it.

Have you looked into any of the large crossover models? Unless you need the towing capacity, something like a traverse/acadia/enclave might suit you fine. It will probably be more fuel efficient and maybe even a little more cargo space than the tahoe or shorter wheelbase yukon.

And yes, the white diamond option is a $995 upgrade but not sure how much that means in the used market. Gotta give the sales guy credit for pulling that out of his hat.

Yes, we have considered those vehicles. However, my wife likes more of the "truck" feeling than the car/crossover. Several years ago, we use to have an 07 Dodge Durango and she loved driving it due to the size, space, and how high up it was.

LOL, yeah, I should call him back and tell him how much does that play in the used car market!
