loss of oil in 01 suburban
Hello, my mom recently got her suburban's bumper replaced after a small rear end collision(by a blazer!) and they said that it also was 2 quarts low on oil so they added the oil, trouble is, when it came time to change the oil, I bought the normal 5 quarts.
When I went to dump the old oil into the 5 quart bottle I get from Autozone, it spilled out and left me with probably an extra 1/2 quart.
My brother asked me(he works at a Goodyear autotech near by) if the engine makes a small ticking when you first start it. I said yes but that started a year ago after the vehicle sat for a week when we were on vacation. So back then before I bothered to learn about cars I just took my dads word as "it's been sitting for a while and needs to circulate".
But my brother said our suburban has the fabled "GM engine syndrome"
