Default Loss of oil prss. Really need help

02 2500hd 6.0. Im unsure what the pressure should be as i dont have a manual but its normal around 60. Lately ots been in the area of 30-40. 45-50 of i really get on it. Any ideas ?

Oil resv is full. No noise. Its due for a change soon. I beleive theres a small leak. Idk where tho. Theres oil on the oil filter, plug ans starter.

I do wanna note that on my info screen it disnt say low oil pressure. Im going by the needle

I don't know specs for your engine but minimum oil pressure requirements as a rule of thumb are 10psi for each 1000rpm.


to diagnose this at a dealership they would put a adaptor in place of the oil filter and check pressure to the filter.
