Default Lubricant recommendations

I have a 2003 Suburban K-1500 LS and would like to change out all the fluids / lubricants to the front axle, rear axle, and transmission. What RPO codes or information can I post to get the most current recommendations for fluid-types and quantity. Also, is there a separate fluid for the transfer-case?

Thank you

Engine, Vortec 5300 V8 SFI (285 HP [212.6 kW] @ 5200 rpm, 325 lb.-ft. [441 N-m] @ 4000 rpm)
Transfer case, electronic Autotrac-inc: push-button controls
Axle rear, 3.73 ratio
4-wheel drive

You can see all the specified fluids/lubricants in the maintenance part of your owners manual.

IIRC, GM specifies 80W90 for the front axle, 75W90 synthetic for the rear. Upgrading the front axle to synthetic is probably a good idea.

Dexron III is specified for the transmission. You might have a hard time finding it. Dexron VI is what's used in '07+ trucks. You can use it in yours; it has better high-temp properties and durability.

The GMT800 trucks use the blue stuff for the transfer case - Auto Trak II.

Thanks for the information. I did look in my manual, but didn't actually see the specifics in terms of quantity per cavity, so I'm no sure ho much I need to buy of each lubricant.

I recommend the Amsoil SVG 75W-90 gear oil.
