My Hoe whistles when he's cruisin..
ok...so ive only had 2500 miles on this thing so far and ive been hearin a subtle whistling. its really annoying when im jus cruisin on the way to school. you can hear it when i accelerate and then fades away and comes back again.
kinda like a tea pot but not so loud n obvious. there was a thread bout wind noise from the pillars or something, but i dont think this is the same thing. u can hear it at bout 20mph to 40mph with the radio off. thats the only time i hear it.
sounds like its commin from the front near the radio conole. i shut off everything. i thought it was the air circulator, but no problem there. it seems like theres some kind fracture where air seems to be creepin through.
if anyone on here has had some type of problem like this...your knowledge will be appreciated.

mine does that too since 15 mile on odo, now i have 18000 miles on it far as i know there is nofix and i took to dealer several times they said first cant hear it, what sound, its operating normal, etc etc... just tired of taking it to dealer. i just got used to it~
that sucks if theres no fix if youre encountering the same thing. i hope i can figure something out before takin it to the dealer. i bet im gonna get the same response. everything is fine. i jus cant get that nice quiet ride with the radio off.
atleast you got a white LT. i always wanted a white tahoe.

i have the same problem... something to do with the steering wheel or something. The techs at my dealer informed me that they are waiting to hear from GM for the fix and that it has been reported. Once my tech calls me to bring her in, I'll share with the board.
Pretty sure you are describing the same noise we have on our 07 Yukon. It's the power steering system, and like the previous poster mentioned, GM is aware of the issue but there currently isn't a fix. While in park, try moving the steering wheel slightly left and right and the noise will either go away or change pitch slightly.
I have found that the noise is more prominent when the temperature is cooler outside. (And when I'm tired
)
