I've had this for a while. I haven't put it on yet. I have been debating if it will fade or not. Did the tape stick? Does it fade over time?

I think it looks great. In fact I think it looks better on your truck than it would on mine. I think it compliments the rims perfectly. The black with chrome lip rims are matched with the black and chrome lipped running boards. Keep it, Nice job!

doo600 thanks, LTZ_HOE as far as fading its to early to say, and the 3M tape is holding good, I also put a thin bead of Gorilla glue for added strength, this stuff is strong, and used duct tape to hold in place & apply pressure, then I let itsitover night to dry...

Mine seem to be holding just fine also. If they fade I will rip them off and install again. It is cheap enough.

As for install all I did was clean the surface VERY VERY good with 91% alcohol. Then heated the board area up with a heat gun (it was a cold winter day on the install, even in my heated garage it was probably only 50-60). I then installed the tape, with the naked eye and a steady hand. Slowly kept going a long the board. Once I got to the end, I just snipped it off with wire cutters.

After I had it installed, I used a heat gun again to heat the trim and tape up. While heating it I applied heavy "finger" pressure to the chrome trim. So far, mine is holding perfectly. I even tugged a bit at one end the other day and it didnt budge. As for using glue, that is up to you guys, me personally I wouldnt want to do this in case I want it removed!

Thanks again six7one!

Finnaly got some pictures. However, it is raining outside so they were taken in my garage. I need to redo the drivers side. It seems I was a little drunk at the time. You cant tell it isnt 100% level unless you are looking closely and at eye level with the trim. It looks ok, but I didnt do a very good job on the install and it pisses me off!

Looks good Landon. Your truck is looking clean. I dont have a garage and it rains alot here in lower Alabama. All I have is a car port and the cobra beats the tahoe on who sleeps there. You may have been asked this before but, does your wife use the pole??
