Default Nav/DVD

Does anyone know how to bypass the nav system so you can operate it while driving, this should also allow the DVD to be watched while driving

I now have the GM lock oick. Works great. Can scroll the radio stations list, input on NAV on the fly and may view DVD on front screen while in motion.

I think it's a great idea... but just can't see paying $250 for it. I'll wait for a cheaper competitor to offer one at a lower price. I can't see paying more than $50 for this thing. It's highway robbery to pay any more...especially since we have to install it ourselves.
