Default Navigation Radio

Hello,

I have recently purchased a 2010 tahoe LT that came with bose speakers. I am wanting to upgrade and install the OEM navigation, touch-screen radio. Would this be the appropriate package to buy? It seems like a good deal to me, loaded with everything I will need. Is this all I will need to install it and make it functional? Will I not have to make a trip to the dealership?

Thank y'all in advance for your help

Believe me when I say that the OEM nav system is not what you want ! Any after market system professionally installed will be what you want. All the OEM system does is fill up a hole in the dash. My 180 dollar Tom Tom will beat the OEM and the radio isn't touch screen !

I honestly dont have a problem with the OEM system? it does everything we need and has every road around here...I would much rather have an OEM system in any car vs something sitting on my dash or window with an even smaller screen. My father in law just got a 2012 Ram fully loaded and I will say that system is WAY better than ours (so is the engine!!!). Maybe the 2012 GM system is similar since it has a hard drive and more features.
now if I was buying a new car I would really think hard before spending $2k+ on an OEM navigation but if buying used would certianly only get one with the navigation built in. they are so common and not much more at all vs one without it.

keep wishing.

GM couldn't do tech if they stole it from someone else.

Go sit in an Edge w/My Ford Touch, or google it.

if you like tech, get a ford.

I agree the ford touch is very nice for an OEM system (seems to be a bit too nice reading many reviews) - but the GM navigation is plenty good for what it is...I mean it isnt all fancy graphics but that doesnt mean it doesnt do the job. but mine doesnt have the bluetooth like yours that you have had problems with so I cant say much about that

The My Sync and Touch both use the Freescale ImX5 processor, the Imx6 is in production now and will provide some serious (probably too much) user interface-ability for the next gen... Introducing the i.MX 6 Series
There is going to be a serious problem with drivers having too much information available at the finger tips....

Default wow

once the myFord touch comes to the expedition... my tahoe will be on Life Support...

Yea; it's a lot to take in for many, but for those who WANT the tech, it's just right...

I'm having a hard time now just driving, texting, watching a movie, entering addresses in the Garmin, and eating a Big Mac.

Don't think I can handle more tech.

Default it's cool

no worries, the Ford's all have Adaptive Cruise control... so long as you can steer with your third arm your fine....

So.. GM doesn't have a real world GPS, has the deathStar, and... that's about it...

Ford has MyFord Touch, Adaptive Cruise, kick under car to open lift gate, key buttons to unclock car (GREAT when I'm jet skiing and can't take key fob in water).

I need a ford

again, once the expedition is brought up to snuff as the EsKopay (finding nemo) I'm sold.

the wife has a tribute (escape sister, made on ford assembly line) and we LOVE it....
