Need help with 04 Tahoe 4wd not engaging

I press the 4wd button and it just flashes and goes off, how do I fix this?

First you need to check and make sure the encoder motor is getting a signal and check any fuses and relays for the system. I would watch a few you tube videos for learning the process.
