Default Need Help 2010 Suburban passenger seat heater out!

Can someone show/tell how to replace heater actuator for front passenger seat?

Stealership wants $499 which seems ridiculous!

I am sorry to hear about the problems with your passenger side seat heater. It doesn't make for much fun, especially with the Winter weather that we have been experiencing this year.

Has the dealer pulled the codes from your truck to ensure that the seat control module needs to be replaced? The module needs to be programmed. You could try and located one from another 2010 Suburban and it may work.

If you don't have the codes, you may be able to find a independent shop that can pull the codes for you or go to a dealer. It could also be the heating elements.

If the module needs to be replaced, you will need to remove the seat. The seat shop has a good video on how to remove the seat, which you can find here. Auto Upholstery | Leather Seat Covers | 3rd Row Seats | Category Archive | Chevy/GMC/Cadillac Install Videos

Good luck with your repair.

My 2010 seat back heater failed. I do have the heated / cooled seats and it's now heated with the same fan that provides the cooling. The dealer replaced the fan heater under warranty. They don't have to remove the seat to replace the seatback heater. They just have to remove the plastic back and replace the heater.
