need help with power
just bought a 98 4door. put glass pack duel exhaust on, sounds great but i thought i would have more power. should i get a intake or is there something else out there that will help with the power.and withthrottle body spacer do those really help or hurt the engine?

RE: need help with power
Most go-fast goodies do little (to nothing) to actually increase power across the RPM scale, and the ones that do enhance power usually rob Peter to Pay Paul; that is: they move power from low RPM ranges to higher RPM ranges where you rarely run the truck.
My first thought if you're working on an on older (1998) is that the truck probably has some miles in it and could probably benefit from an overhaul, once inside you can do a few things that will actually help out such as a port and polish, a roller cam, bump the compression and bore out the cylinders and things such as this.

Also, the programmers offered by various manufacturers really shine in diesels, but are not really worth it in gasoline powered engines. I would only get one if you were reprogramming for aftermarket wheels.
Another note. I put a big diameter exhaust on a mid nineties 5.7 V8 Chevy and actually lost power because I had little back pressure.
