Default Need some VCIM help PLEASE HELP

Thank you for reading, I am a new member with a 07 Tahoe LTZ. I am trying to add Bluetooth by swapping out my original VCIM for a new one. I did buy one from a Traverse (part # 20829984) with the BT antenna. I took it to my dealership and asked them to swap them out. I did talk to my service writer and explain what I was doing...I even told him they have a service bulletin NOT to do it...he was cool and told me "if we can do it we will"
I took it today because I wanted to surprise my wife with it and they told me IT CAN'T be done....not feasible was what they told me. they also said there are different wiring harnesses....is that all BS?

what's the deal? I have read that MANY owners have done this. I have looked up DIY's but they seem so old the pictures are gone... I live in Cleveland Ohio if there is anyone willing to help me get this done..I have tons of beer. OR if there is a shop in my area that could do it that would be great.

thank you for your time

Welcome to the forum....
I have seen some post of others performing a similar upgrade as you but I believe they all used the VCIM from the same type of vehicle it was being installed in...
