need your help to find the name of a piece
Hello,
I have a small problem with the suburban.
I preview a room was defective. The problem is that nobody is able to tell me what it might be in France.
I sent an email to a wholesaler of car parts in the USA. But they do not know the name.
Depending on the picture, can you tell me what that might be please?
This is a chevrolet suburban 2000 5.3 V8.
Thank you for your help
cordially

What we're looking at is your lower control arm (what the shock and torsion bar is connected to). Above that is your frame. Between the two (the part in question) is your control arm bumper, also referred to as a jounce bumper. That's what limits your suspension from bottoming out too far, and gives you rubber to steel instead of steel on steel. The bumper has an integrated center bolt that screws into the frame. The top half and bottom half on yours have gone their separate ways.

Thank you for your reply.
With your explanation, I found this reference to a site under ref auto part 5651343 (RockAuto is the only site I know but I guess you know many others)
This could be the right bushing.
By cons, it is evident aps understand with translations made by google. It must be the same for you, I'm wrong?
Thank you again.

That's a control arm bushing, for where the arm mounts and pivots on the frame. That's not what you want.
You're looking for a "bumper", not a bushing. I've found them for the S-series trucks (S10, S15), but haven't been able to find for full size trucks. That might be a dealer only part.
You could try GM Parts Direct: Your direct source for Genuine GM Parts, but knowing what part # you need will help your search.

You didn't give many details on the truck other than it's a 2000 Suburban with a 5.3L, but I hope this helps:
It appears to be a front suspension "Bumper".
Part#15153959 if the truck is a 4x4 and a Z71 suspension package.
Part#15153958 if the truck is a 4x4 with suspension codes: ZQ1, ZW7, ZX3, Z55, Z83 OR Z85.
Part#12474008 if the truck is only a RWD.
I don't work for a GM dealer but this is the best I can come up with.
So you should check with your local shop and see if you can match them up.
Good luck!

Thank you for your answers.
I'm sorry for the lack of information on the suburban.
So what is a chassis 1500 (normal since the engine)
It is a 4x4 and it is not a Z71
I'll watch with references on the internet because our concessions do not know the suburban or have a very high price. I'm in France;-)

Thanks!!!
I just tried to order GM PartsDirect but first I have to send a bank check. I find that a bit tedious operation. I should take appointment with my bank to make a bank check, send to the USA and only then will my order be taken into account.
While I regularly order RockAuto with my credit card for chevrolet plymouth or smoothly and much faster. Only, RockAuto does not make this car part. ;-(

Hello,
I ordered the parts on autoparts.com rms (the only site where I could pay card)
The longest is up to the Chevrolet and remove the wheel.
That's the difference between a new and an old one. Since the bup stop left was much more broken than right, says the chevrolet leaning left.
thank you
