No, they make them for our Tahoes now. However, the original part number that was floating around this forum was for the darker GMC woodgrain. I purchased it for $40. I quickly noticed it was darker. My dealer found the right one for the tahoe, it is the exact same part just a lighter woodgrain. It was $150. Explain that!

Chrome looks great on my new black LTZ.....especially if you remove the gold bowties.

How did you get your bowtie black? What is the easiest way of doing it?

Remove the 6 top bolts of the front grill. You can then reach the 2- 10mm nuts which hold the bowtie. Carefully pull ot the plastic bowtie (it also has some double sided tape to contend with). I then roughed it up with #400 sand paper....primed..painted and clearcoated it.
The wheel hubs I masked, scuffed primed, painted and clear coated. And the rear bowtie I left just the chrome base which looks better without the glued on gold plastic bowtie. Had fun doing it too!

I just saw the new grille etc on a black Tahoe at the dealer. that stuff looks good on black.

I think I like the painted top to the mirror. You can always add chrome to the bottom. If you have the chrome top the only choice really, is to paint the bottom. ALL chrome doesn't look right.

Autobarn sells spray cans of primer, GM black paint, and clear coat. Scuff well (ater masking) let dry between 2coats of each.

Haven't seen one yet but the stock black grill was a cross-mesh pattern. Is the chrome similar?
