Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

The tires are Nankang 295-35-24 on 24x10 U2 wheels. The wheels were put on 3 days after I bought it and the drop was installed several days later. The drop kit used was the Mcgaughy's 2/3 kit which I think is perfect with the wheel and tire setup. The gap between fender and tire is 3 inches up front and 4 inches out back. There is slight rubbing at all four corners but it is nothing serious along the inside of the inner fender well where the tire is rubbing the plastic fender liner. I will most likey trim away the portion of the fender liner that is rubbing but havn't yet since it only rubs when going into turns at approximately 20 mph and above. However, the Tahoe handles and performs way better than stock since almost all the body roll has been eliminated due to the lowering.

I was told by the shop doing my drop that a 305-35-24 would rub alot more and definately be more noticeable.

I hope this helps and once you drop it you will wish you had done it sooner!!!

Thanks for the response. I do have 305/35/24's. I have purchased several lowering kits. Always changing my mind right before I lowered it. I am too worried about the rubbing that may occur. I am also worried about losing some of the ride quality. I am still waiting to hear from someone that has lowered using the mcgaughys and has 305/35/24s. Thanks again, Landon.

It looks like your tire is almost a half inch wider and I.m not sure how that will affect it.I will keep an eye out for a tahoe with your size tire and drop.
