Default (New to the site) 2002 z71 Tahoe or 94 Blazer 1500?

Hey Guys!

I am torn between purchasing these vehicles. I need some feedback. I havent owned a chevy in about 15 years so I am kinda clueless when it comes to issues with these vehicles.

I have the opportunity to purchase a 1994 2 door Full Size Blazer with less than 160,000 milles on the original motor. Clean inside and out.

And a 2002 z71 Tahoe with 170,000 miles. I know this is alot of miles. But due to the current situation i am in i have no choice.

The tahoe check engine light is on and the seller is saying that its a knock sensor, other than that it drives good. But he doesnt know how long the sensor has been bad.

the Blazer needs a EGR valve replaced.

i would rather have the tahoe but dont really know what i would be getting into. Any help would be appreciated.

Blazer you will get your money back on it, simple truck fun to drive and becoming a quick classic. Is the blazer a 4x4?

The Tahoe is a Tahoe, lots of support but at 170K you will need to prepare for RR of some normal items due to age and use. Suspension, gaskets, u joints etc.

Yes the blazer is a 4x4. I believe I am going to go with the blazer. The inside of the Tahoe looks awful and since it needs the intake manifold removed, i think it would be too much trouble down the road.

The Blazer looks extremely Clean and has been garage kept I know for the better part of last year.
