Default New Tahoe falling apart!

It seems there is some cover foil from the inside of the wheel housings which is now slowly tearing apart (after now 1000 miles in a brand new car) and it looks just horrible. The problem is that it is not possible to remove it all in one shot as it sticks very well on some places. What is the purpose and who invented that?

I don't recall any lining on the wheel well... I wonder if that is something left over from the manufacturing process or was some other protective cover that was not fully removed....the wheel well liner should be all black plastic....

I've had two and neither had anything like this. Take it back and have them remove it. I assume it's under warranty.
