Default No hot air from driver side vents - yukon 07

Hi all,

I have a yukon 07 and it has trizone climate control. AC works fine in all zones, heater (hot air) works fine on the passenger side and rear AUX. However, I get no hot air form the driver side, the air temperature is the same as the outside

Any thoughts on this? is this a controller issue? any recommendations?

Thanks for you help in advance.

Possibly it is a malfunctioning Air Door Actuator.
It looks like this...

On Tri-Air, it is one of four that operate the flows.
IF you can find it under the Dash, try to turn the
shaft by hand, and it may break loose and turn.
If so, then you probably need to replace it.
(About $80 Dealer)

Sorry, I just don't know where under the Dash to
tell you to look on a 07 Yuke.

Possibility 2:
It may be that the Air Door is warped/stuck.
Once having disconnected the Actuator, you
can operate the door manually, rotate it back
and forth, and see if it is sticking.
Then go from there.

If the door is malfunctioning, shouldn't that stop air form coming our completely? of is it the door the controls that air temperature?

d'geek,

I wish I could tell you absolutely, but designs vary from model to model.
I doubt very seriously that it is a go/no go, as in start/stopping the flow, but, an either/or, as in the choice of sources. Appears that it is selecting fresh air rather than conditioned.

Have you contacted the dealership? I recommend talking to them and seeing what they say. They will be able to diagnose and resolve the issue for you. Let me know how it goes there.
