Exclamation Now is the time to end marijuana prohibition. 2007 Tahoe locked?

OK, I have seen a couple of post describing the method of replacing the rear hatch locking system, and even upgrading the stripped plastic cog with a brass one. No one has said how to actually open the damned thing when the mechanism fails. Sure, you take off the interior side plastic cover of the door, but prey tell me how you do that when you can't get it open? Is there something I missed? Is there some way without destroying the panel that it comes off when SHUT? As I have said it wont allow access to the sides of the panel with it closed as the seals are in the way and no room for prying. Will I now have to cut a hole in the panel to access the motor actuation electrical switch? I am completely baffled. Grrrrrrrr. Oh since it is a 2007 it is one piece, not like the 2006 which can be easily opened ( as it is a two piece), with the door closed and locked. GRRRRRRRRRR! I find no info on line about How to get into it, they all start with an open door. How do you do THAT? ARRRRRRRRGG!

I even tried the old "open sesame" trick to no avail. This is something I want to do myself not take into a dealer, so any help is appreciated. Thanks (walks away from computer grumbling and swearing)...
