I think on your model the cannister is attached to the frame crossmember just in front of the fuel tank. There's a vent pipe connected to the cannister and the vent valve is on the other end of this pipe (hose) and bolted to the frame.

You might also consider other reasons for the code:

Perform a physical inspection of the EVAP system. Inspect for the following conditions:
[*]A loose, missing, defective, or incorrect fuel tank cap[*]Incorrectly routed or defective EVAP system vacuum and vapor lines[*]A malfunctioning or damaged vapor canister[*]Inspect for charcoal release from the vapor canister.[/ul]

I reset the computer when I was done, so we'll see if this takes care of the SES light..

It wasn't an exact fit... I really had to bend the bracket and make it fit...

The part is an updated unit, the old valve was plagued with problems caused by dirt entering the vent.
This unit has been redesigned and that is why it is shaped differently.

ZX1100F1 -- Thanks for all your help on this! It's been a couple days now since I replaced the EVAP canister, and reset the computer -- So far the SES light has not come back on!

Thanks a lot !
