O2 Sensors
Ok so I just put magnaflow exhaust on my 05 Suburban, and I took out the CATS. I knew it was gonna happen and it finally has the check engine light is now on. is there a sensor that sends out a false reading to the computer to take of the check engine light?
you might want to invest in one for your application.....really helps
There is no sensor however there is a way to trick the computer. You need to get 4 spark plug non foulers from the auto part store. 2 per side. The are in the "help" section at the large chain stores. Drill the bottom out of all of them as big as you can without making the side walls to thin. Then screw 2 of them together. Next put your rear O2 sensor in the non fouler and put it back in the exhaust pipe. The computer checks to see if the cats are working by seeing a difference between the front and rear sensors. By installing the rear O2 in the non fouler you are pulling the sensor out of the stream of exhaust gas effectively making the readings between the front and rear sensor different.
