oh wow did any one ever find out any thing about this issue? I just bought my Tahoe from a man and already had to rebuild the transmission. and my scanner will not connect with the Tahoe. dealer wants 150.00 to look at it. what could be wrong?

model year is?
does your scan tool power up? pin 16 of the dlc powers the scan tool. it should have 12volts. If it does not have power, the cig fuse on most model years feeds it. if the scan tool powers up and won't communicate with the vehicle you will have to check the data lines. report back with which condition you have.

I have a 96 Tahoe. yes the scanner comes on and tries to connect with the truck but want, I have checked the cig. fuse and its good. I changed the plug out on the truck thinking it could be a wire issue in the plug , but does the same thing. thank you so much for the reply back
