OEM Chrome Rear Bowtie Painted on my 07 Tahoe!
LOL, silly question but worth asking!
I took off all parts when I paint them. I can get a little crazy with paint, and dont trust my taping masking ability. Remove the emblems to paint them.

Thanks. I just went and bought some paint. Not exactly silver birch but really close. Ill see how it looks. How hard to take the bow tie off? Any tips? Thanks again..
The front bowtie is held on by two 10mm locking nuts on the back. Basically get then started loose and you wil be able to pull them off. I dont know the technical term for the type of nut it is, but is screwing onto tapered plastic posts. There is of course tape underneath the bowtie holding it on. Be careful and dont break it!
As for the close match, TEST IT. I tried a CLOSE white and you could very easily tell it wasnt the right white. DOesnt take much of a difference to notice!

I know what you mean about the colors. It's really darn close. I'll see when I reinstall it. It will be better than the yellow color of the bowtie,I think.
