how much are these things going for. and can i run my bose system with an aftermarket deck? thanks.

you can run your bose system with an aftermarket deck provided you use the proper integration module

it just seems like a big ordeal to get anything added to the stock navi. buy this for that and that for this. why would they not make it more driver friendly

Stock radios are not meant to have things like bluetooth\i-pod\xm radio unless they are built with them. They make it a pain so you buy the option when purchasing the vehicle.
When people put aftermarket stuff in, in a sense, it takes away from GM's (or any car maker for that matter) bottom line. They want you to use OE stuff.
