Default OEM Navi w/o BOSE...but MY aftermarket amp?

If you need the Bose amp for the factory Navi to have power, then why can't you use an aftermarket amp to power the speakers? The Navi should still be functional without the amp. Is there any outputs on the HU which can be converted to RCA?

Cheers,
Dave

I just want On-Star to be functional after all of this.

I 'think' you can have NAV without an amp at all... 1st I saw a post saying the NAV HU had no output power, but I have read on these boards where LS drivers have added Nav to non Bose systems as a direct plug it....
