I appreciate your effort, it made me laugh.

Could it be a combined drain with the oil filter?

Since I just did my first oil change in about 10 years on my 2007 Tahoe here's the skinny... If' it's the same as my 5.3 litre it's right down there where an oil pan used to be. If you're looking for an old style oil pan then get that out of your head. It looks like the side of a transmission and the little oil filter is off to the driver side a bit. It will be on the sideaway fromthe oil filter and be threaded inat the very bottom of the side. Hope that helps. To be honest about it, I drained mine and then went up to the dip stick tomake sure the stuff I drained was oil.

Of particular note was the distance the oil squirted out when the screw came out of the drain. Buy a big pan and keep one edge under the plug and the other in the direction it's going to squirt. And it will look like it thinks it's in a pissing contest and it wants to win...

It's on the oil pan, opposite of the oil filter, on the passenger's side (see picture). Top of the photo is the front of the Tahoe (your feet towards the back).

The plug shown is on the passenger side of the vehicle. After reading the previous post I went out and looked to make sure I wasn't imagining things. But the picture sure shows what you're looking for. That long burm heading for the plug that needs to be undone...

Thanks guys! I appreciate the quick help. I did find it and you're right, it definitely doesn't look like an "old" oil pan used to you.

You're absolutely right. I took that photo in a hurry and wasn't paying attention. My original photo is the exact mirror image. I've reposted the correct photo -- top of the photo is the front of the Tahoe and drain plug on the driver's side.
