Default Oil & Lube (Old GM Videos)

Found this while looking up a question I had about oil.

Thought it was neat.

Hey look, one moving part:

This one:

Around 2:30, with the tracing paper and the marker... that's all computer now, but this is pretty cool.
It's like a model leaf spring!

I thought the intro to this was hilarious!

"weaker sex... such frail creatures"

**not my words** just never knew this was the norm in the 40s

OMG, I really just wanted to see these for the old school tech, but HOLY COW, this isn't just sexist... it's THE SEXIST THING EVER.

The process where ice melts under pressure of the skate is called regelation.

Maybe I misinterpreted the bit on the gear pump but the flow in a gear pump goes around the outside, not through the meshing gears since a fluid is incompressible.
