Pulling the proper fuse should shut down the alarm.

Your photo shows 2000 rpm and no oil pressure on the gauge. Even though your oil level is OK, you may still be without any oil pressure and driving it will ruin your engine. So I'd check that out before driving.

Or it could just be a bad oil pressure sending unit, or wiring to that. But I wouldn't gamble.

Mrs. Cusser occasionally has that same oil pressure warning but it still reads fine/correct oil pressure on the gauge, but she does not get the "Stop Engine" warning like you show.

So I'd get that checked out and fixed as alternative to being cheap or stubborn and ruining the whole engine.

He has a point. There might be plenty of oil in the pan, but the pump is sucking air through a broken seal.

General question regarding an 03 5.3L suburban, oil pressure sensor. Mine is showing either pegged out or 80 on the gauge. Have a new sensor, this comes with a screen (small), cannot figure out where it goes?

The screen goes underneath the sender. On my 2005 Yukon, the mechanic says my year/model does not have one, and recommended not to change the sender as long as the gauge works.

Gauge is pegged or showing 80. I sent the cluster in this week due to speedometer malfunction. Shop said he swept the oil gauge twice, replaced to LVDT (stepper motor), also asked the same about the gauge being pegged or at 80. I have the sensor ready to go in, but was questioning the screen.
