Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Yes this is true and even more so in Texas as your electric car is coal fired
(I really like pointing that out to tree huggers)
but there is always a big BUT, by having more electric cars available, it increase profits which lead to demand which leads to and provides more money to drive improvements...this kind of thinking is why GM recalled and crushed all of its EV1 cars, there was more money to be made in gasoline powered cars...

If Moore's law could be applied to battery technologies and batteries would have evolved like computers, today's AA battery would have the power equivalent of a small tactical nuke!

Look at the regenerative tech that has come along for charging while braking or going down hills...

I recall reading that some, if not all, of the charging stations are solar powered. Not sure how you "fill up" at nite tho.

I believe the solar is supplemental but they are powered from the grid, the initial charge from 0 to 80% is 40 minutes, its a little longer then what I would take as a pee break, but its doable...

Default Engergy Production

You are correct, that it takes pollution to make electricity, however, even in the most polluting state for electric production (WV I think, it's in one of their videos). it's still less polluting to drive an electric car.

the S gets a MPG-E of 90 MPG I thing... so... 90 MPG vs. my Tahoe's 16?

The 85 kwh pack in the S, is the energy equivalent of 2.5 gallons of gasoline.

that's 265 mile range on 2.5 gallons of gasoline.

ohh, and you can smoke almost anything off the line, in 4 door, 5 seater sedan.

It's not just a better car, it's like comparing fireworks with a nuke.

A 5 seat, 4 door sedan that keeps pace with a purpose built sports car... I'd have one today, but it would involve selling my Jeep, stocks, and possibly my left leg to afford it...
