I bet On-Star wouldn't drop the dime for you to save your life, if you had dropped your subscription but left it enabled and you were in a fiery cash, but they would keep the data for future use...

we don't want to be tracked, and within the month I will provide a write up on removing / uninstalling the DeathStar.
I will also warn anyone I ever meet to avoid GM like the plauge. Friends, Family, even random people I meet on the street. I've been so put off by them and now this, it's the least I can do. Between my Jeep, Sea-doo, and boat friends, it should be easy

I wonder if they are doing that to the government vehicles. I really can't see the President, Secret Service or CIA allowing OnStar (I mean DeathStar, sorry) tracking them. Gotta be someway to totally remove or deactivate.
I have a 2003 with analog, not upgraded to digital. I have since accidintally hit the OnStar button and it worked with a long elapsed subscription and supposedly unsupported system.
