Default P0171 OBD code on 2002 Tahoe

I have a 2002 Tahoe that recently coded P0171 lean bank 1. I was wondering where bank 1 is? Can any body help me trouble shoot this one?

Welcome to the forum.

I believe it's the left bank (driver's side).

Default lean condition

Usually, lean conditions are from bad O2 sensors. Might check the O2 sensor on that side. Not sure what Chevy's cost but Ford ones are around $20. Just be careful when replacing when pipes are hot (they come out easier when pipes are heated up.
