P0442 Repeat CEL code 2017 Suburban
Hi - I am lost as to what to diagnose next in my EVAP system.
6/9/24: Bought the 2017 Suburban in June with P0442 active. Replace the EVAP Canister Purge Valve and the code went away and drove fine.
8/6/24: P0442 code again - replaced EVAP Canister Purge Valve - CEL went away and drove fine
9/13/24: P0442 again - replaced Charcoal filter and EVAP Canister Purge Valve at the same time - CEL went away and everything was fine
I thought the charcoal filter was the fix on the third failure because it lasted more than 1-2 months.
2/8/25 - P0442 fail again...
Where else should I be looking at? It seemed like the Canister Purge Valve was the problem since every time I replaced it it would be fixed for some time and then fail after a while. Then, on the third replacement when I did the charcoal filter as well, it lasted five months. What else could be causing these failures to happen over time?
