so the 09 Tahoe gets a beefed up 6 spd from the Corvette... according to stuff I have read online (correct?)

Wow. Sounds like a job. I might could sit down and figure it out, but I might go through a pack of cigs doing it!

Unless its like the Duramax/Allison trucks and has the shift switch on the column stick, I'm not sure. I would hope its paddles...

 

thats right; it does have the up/down on the shifter already....

so i wonder if you could fit the paddles then wire it to those...

I like the 09 LTZ rims too, soon as it hits $30k KBB, its mine! (so like 1 year from now)...

I assume its possible. depends on what kind of switch it is and how many connections it must make or break to shift.

 

Of course there's the issue of programming the tranny computer to accept the paddle inputs.

 

If you could fool it by tapping the +/- switch wires and running them to the paddles instead.....
Not sure about that, just a blind theory. It could have a chip under the +/- switch it that sends a digital signal to the PCM.

Very seldom to I work on or install accessories in new(er) Tahoes.

 

the + and - shift are already on the column shifter; so in THEORY just a few more wires + clock springs so the paddles can rotate!

OMG I just had a wicked idea.

What if you pulled the volume + and it shifted + (and - is -)

I dont know if its possible, but how cool would that be?! (or similar buttons that are already there)
