Park Assist Off No Stereo No OnStar No Turn Signal Sound
It WORKED!! So thankful that you posted this!
I hope I’m posting correctly bc this is something I never do, but your 9 year old post helped me and I knew I had to figure this out to thank you.
Backdrop: I last drove my car on Friday prior to Presidents Day and everything was fine. Didn’t drive it again till Tuesday morning since I was off Monday for the holiday. Battery was dead. Got my friend to jumpstart my car and while it started without any problems, I was without my radio, parking assist, and no signal sound. At first I was researching about no radio and there was anti theft deterrent feedback and I needed a radio code feedback. Called dealership and they wanted me to come in for a diagnostics. Not how I roll either. Lol. Not for this issue as I paid off my Camaro (2015) in December.
To make this short, thankfully I finally ran across your post (after 2 weeks of no radio,,etc), and asked my friend to disconnect the battery. 15 minutes later, I had a radio, parking assist, and even the signal sound that I used to think was annoying!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!!!!

These evening I got back in the Suburban after leaving the grocery store. I got the PARK ASSIST OFF message on the DIC. I cleared the message and then tried to turn Park Assist back on. It would NOT turn back on. The light would flash (on the button). I tried turning the 'Burb off and restart. . .that didn't work. I got out and made sure that sensors were clean (I had just washed it yesterday). They were clear and clean. I decided to go ahead and drive home. Now I realize I have NO TURN SIGNAL SOUND. The stereo will not turn on and even OnStar wouldn't work. I got home and did a little google search and didn't find anything really relative or a solution. I called the dealership and they told me to come in on Monday morning and they would look at it. That's not really the way I roll. . . LOL. . So I thought about it a while and decided that a little system reset couldn't hurt. I went out and disconnected the battery for 10 minutes, reconnected it and voila' all is back to normal. If I have this issue again I will post here again.

I am having the same issue on my 2011 Chevy equinox my radio screen also has line and random shapes across it I have tried removing cables, resetting the computer, resetting the radio altogether, checked all fuses and none of this has worked any ideas will help I see this is a common problem but can’t find any solution
I saw someone in this thread tried replacing the car battery and had some success there. Has anyone else tried that? Could it be an indication that the battery is wearing down?
Can't believe I found this thread. I'm having the same issue with a brand new 2023 Yukon. I hardwired a dashcam today using a fuse adapter that came with it. I chose the heated steering wheel fuse because it's a VCC fuse. After I finished I noticed I had no stereo, park assist or OnStar. I've completely disconnected the battery twice with no luck. Heated steering wheel works, lol. I've checked the stereo module fuse several times as well. No issue there. I'm completely at a loss at this point. This makes no sense. Any additional advice would be greatly appreciated.
I am having the same problems ie stereo, sounds, and service park assist. Did replacing the BCM resolve any of your issues?
Debating trying that next. Thank you
