Default Please help

Hey guys I have a 2002 Tahoe 5.3 and I have a oil leak that I just can’t find I have had a mechanic replace the valve cover seals and I have changed the oil pan gasket twice still leaking so I had a mechanic look at it and he took the tranny out because I thought it was rear main he said it wasn’t so I took the part back doesnt look like it’s coming from the top of the engine I don’t know what else it could be please help could it still be the rear main that’s what I’m thinking

Scotty Kilmer, a mechanic in Texas uses a product that if supposed to make seals work much better if a leak develops. I have no idea if it really works, but it's far cheaper that a rear crankshaft seal replacement.It's called AT-205 Re-Seal. Its a watery substance that is made of some polymer substance. He should have changed the rear main seal with the transmission already out.

Yeah, I agree. Still lots of independent mechanics out there that are barely capable of figuring such things out unfortunately..

Gal I was dating once, took her car to a "mechanic" using that term loosely in this case. Ran a code, P0300 on the readout.Lovely.

She got antsy, and took it to this guy, instead of allowing me to repair ir. Dude puts a set of cheap plugs in the engine and charges
her like they were Iridiums. Needless to say it wasn't the plugs, it was a bad coil pack. Replaced it, erased codes and good to go..
