Default Power folding mirrors with black pebble finish?

Anyone know if GM makes power folding side mirrors in the basic black pebble finish or are they all chrome/paint-to-match? Looking to retrofit a Tahoe to have the power folding option but I want the mirrors to be black. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

The chrome cap is on the LTZ. The LS and LT models have a body color cap. You can remove the cap and paint it.

Howdy. I'm referring to the basic black pebble finish shown below. I believe these come on the more basic trim packages, including the PPV.

I'm wondering if GM makes a power folding mirror in this basic finish.

If not, can anyone tell me what the paint-to-match mirrors look like with the paintable cap removed? Good or bad? If they don't look right with the cap removed, I may just have the whole mirror coated with black spray-on bedliner.

The Esky comes w/ the chrome cap on the bottom. I guess you could get those and paint them along w/ the LTZ upper chrome caps. Probably a little pricy.

They come in basic black but it is a smooth finish. I just had to replace one that quit folding. Was $230 plus $99. My original was painted on top so I had them use the old top. I'm still stripping the old mirror apart to find reason for failure. A child could strip this down with a 8 lb sledge hammer! And a china man probably snaps the plastic parts together with his hands...

Guys... Are the top parts of the mirrors (the caps) interchangeable? If so, I should be able to just swap the rough textured black caps from the manual folding mirrors with the chrome caps on the power folding mirrors, right?

Or you could get the Putco chrome cap that covers the whole mirror. Saves time.

Sorry I misunderstood your post #6. What you want is the whole mirror w/ the black, grained finish, I think.
