Default Power liftgate

I don't imagine that it would be possible to retrofit this option to an existing vehicle (2007 LT)- can anybody verify?

If you do, I know the driver side inside rear quarter plastic cover panel must also be replaced as it is uniquely shaped to fit the motor in there.

There is also a push button above the rear view mirror by sunroof controls that controls the lift and can disableit, so there is a new overhead panel you will need.

You need a new Keyfob and probably a new wireless receiver black box that relays an open/close signal to the lift controls.

Have I discouraged you yet?

Snomon - Probably not until you get to the price for parts and install.

And snomon hasn't even gotten to the hard parts yet.

Yes I didn't mention the obvious hard stuff like the liftgate motor. Here is a gratuitious photo (crappy cell phone pic blow up) that shows the liftgate motor on the rear driver side and a custom sub box I had built andshoehorned back there to be completely hidden...

I'm convinced - that's not something I would want to tackle or spend the bucks on. My wife saw someone else using that feature and was asking about it - thanks for the info.

The hard stuff is the control modules, wiring it all up correctly and programming the BCM to make it all work right not to mention that the liftgates are different.
