Default Power Steering Issue

I have a 2002 Chevy Tahoe Z71 5.3 Liter V8

We got caught on a muddy road and had to turn around in a tight spot. After about a 6 point turn around and cranking the wheel hard left and right the power steering assist completely failed.

The fluid levels are fine, no obvious leaks and was previously working perfect with no noises or resistance before we had to turn around. I am looking for advice as to what went wrong so quickly. Could this be the power steering pump or a valve issue? Shaft looks fine too.

Welcome to the forum. BTW you don't get extra credit for posting the same thing twice.

I assume the belt is still on. If so, sounds like the pump went Tango Uniform.
