Default 03 Trailblazer Power Steering Issue

I have a 2003 Trailblazer EXT with 93k miles. 4.2L V6. When the vehicle is stopped and I try to turn right, the steering is very hard. It is fine to turn if the vehicle is moving. Do I need to change the PS fluid or change the Power steering pump? it was a little low, but not horrible.

I am having the same problem with a 2005 Trailblazer and would love to hear of a solution to this. It will turn great to the left but locks up on right turns.

If you have assist to the left but not right; sounds like the spool valve in the rack is bad...new steering gear $$ would be my guess.
